since March 2020, the corona pandemic has led to greater uncertainty when dealing with our lymphoma patients outside and inside the GLA studies. We are still available for inquiries and the study centers for the individual studies can still be reached by telephone or e-mail. Please understand that it sometimes takes a little longer for us to be able to answer you.
An important step in combating the corona pandemic was the start of vaccinations in December 2020. The German Society for Hematology and Medical Oncology (DGHO) issues recommendations for COVID-19 vaccinations for patients with blood diseases and cancer. The GLA fully endorses these recommendations.
The German Society for Hematology and Medical Oncology (DGHO) provides continuously updated information on COVID-19 infection in the context of the treatment of tumor patients on its guideline portal Onkopedia. In addition, expert opinions on the individual lymphoma entities are provided to guide patients in the current situation. This information is publicly available. The recommendations of the DGHO for lymphomas were largely created in cooperation with the GLA and are therefore in line with the recommendations of the GLA.
